Fire is located 40 miles northwest of Wells, NV. Wildcat Fire is burning in brush and grass. Fire behavior has moderated and observed behavior is minimal with creeping and smoldering. Crews are continuing with mop up and suppression repair.

Incident Description | Fire is near the Jarbidge Wilderness. Some structures threatened including an old Forest Service Guard Station (Wildcat). |

Planned Actions | Monitor the fire for potential hot spots. Mop up hot spots as necessary to reduce the amount of Habitat burnt and risk of fire escape from perimeter. Complete any repair that still remains from suppression efforts. |
Projected Incident Activity | Repair of fire suppression efforts completed with minor repairs being needed on the interior areas of the fire. Little to no potential for fire spread outside of containment lines. Interior pockets of heat may need mop up to reduce any more sage grouse habitat being burnt. |
Weather Concerns | Hot and dry temperatures will continue across the fire area for the next several days. Potential thunderstorms and gusty erratic winds continues to be a threat for the rest of the week with little chance of precipitation. |
