Current Weather
Weather Concerns

Mostly clear this morning with some haze and near full humidity
recovery. Cloud cover generated by thunderstorms over southeast
Texas overspread the fire area throughout the day. A few breaks in
the clouds during the afternoon allowed temperatures to reach the
low 90s and humidity fell to 45-50% across the fire area. A few
weak showers did develop but considerable rainfall remained west
of the fire area. Cloudy skies and increasing rain chances are
expected tonight.

On Thursday, a weakening cold front will press southeastward
through the fire area. A trough of low pressure ahead of the front
will trigger scattered showers during the morning hours. A few
thunderstorms will be possible along the cold front as it passes
during the afternoon. Additionally, with the front winds will shift
and begin to blow from the northwest around 6-9 mph with gusts
up to 15 mph. Mostly cloudy skies and a humid airmass should
moderate high temperatures to the middle 80s resulting in higher
afternoon humidities, only falling to around 65%.
