Prescribed burns are planned for Animas CIty Mountain which rises to 8100 feet above the City of Durango and the Animas River.

The Craig Interagency Hotshot Crew created fire lines on Animas City Mountain this spring. With additional work by trail crews, these lines are being turned into new recreational trails.
