Night operations are continuing the Borrega Fire on 3/30/22 at 0900. Texas A&M Forest Service is unified command with Kleberg County firefighting resources on the active and running fire.
The fire is several miles away from Hwy 285, and is currently estimated at 3,500 acres at 10% containment. Point protection on 3 structures and a successful large air tanker drop have been completed on the east side of the fire.
