 Sunday, October 1, 2023 Weather:  Today will be partly cloudy with max temperatures reaching 63-68 degrees with a warming trend expected this coming week. Wind from the northeast will be 6-9mph with gusts up to 30mph. FIRE BEHAVIOR:  Significant moisture over the fire area has reduced the ability for live and dead fuels to carry fire. The fire has not moved out of its perimeter in the last two weeks. Minimal fire behavior is expected.
September 28, 2023Weather:  Today will be warmer and drier with mostly clear and sunny skies. Temperature highs will reach up to 70 degrees with wind out of the north-northeast at 5-9mph with gusts up to 12mph.   FIRE BEHAVIOR:  Damp fuels will limit the fire’s ability to spread, however, heat remains in heavy ground fuels. No significant spread is expected on either fire within the Happy Camp Complex.
saturday, September 30, 2023Weather:  An area of low pressure moving into northern California is expected to bring scattered showers, cooler temperatures, and gusty southwest winds through the late afternoon. Rainfall accumulations will be light with a few thunderstorms possible in the afternoon as the front approaches. Temperature highs will reach 58-63 degrees with wind out of the north-northeast in the afternoon at 8-12mph with gusts up to 30mph.
 Friday, September 29, 2023 Weather:  Today will be mostly cloudy with rain expected throughout the day. Cool conditions will continue throughout the weekend with gusty northeast winds near 30mph over the higher elevations. Areas near the Happy Camp Complex can expect 6-9mph southwest wind with gusts up to 12mph. High temperatures are expected to be between 63-67 degrees.
Fire restrictions lifted on Klamath National ForestYreka, Calif., September 28, 2023— Recent weather conditions have lessened the fire danger on the Klamath National Forest, and fire restrictions will be lifted effective September 28, 2023 across the forest.
Tuesday, September 26, 2023Weather: Soaking rain fell over the area yesterday and into this morning and was accompanied by a cooler temperatures and higher winds. The wind reached speeds of 6-9 mph with gusts up to 20mph on Monday. Significant rainfall was received from this system with 1.88- 1.91-inches recorded. Up to 2 inches is expected before the weather pattern moves out of the area.
Monday, September 25, 2023WEATHER: Much needed rain will dominate the fire area today into Tuesday morning accompanied by a cooler, windier trend. Monday afternoon the wind will be 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25mph and up to 30mph on ridgetops. Significant rainfall is expected within this system with 0.50-0.75-inch likely, and up to 1.25 inches in isolated areas and in higher terrain. The heaviest rainfall is expected Monday morning and will continue throughout the day.
