June 9, 2023 - San Bernardino National Forest, San Jacinto Ranger District has planned a prescribed firing operation for approximately 2500 acres on Thomas Mountain; west of the community of Garner Valley and southeast of the communities of Idyllwild and Mountain Center. This operation will occur from June 15 through June 22.
May 23, 2023 - Evening Update – Burn operations have concluded successfully on the  Lytle Creek prescribed burn. Firefighters were able to accomplish 23 acres today. Smoke may still be visible through the night.
May 23, 2023 - The San Bernardino National Forest (BDF) Front Country Ranger District will be conducting a prescribed pile burn today from 9:00am to 5:00pm as weather and environmental conditions allow. There are approximately 23 acres planned around the Lytle Creek Fire Station with a probability of success due to the cooler weather. Residents and visitors will see flames and smoke visible throughout the day and evening. Firefighters will be monitoring the area until all piles are extinguished.
May 9, 2023 - Evening Update – Burn operations have concluded successfully on the Cranston Restoration prescribed burn. Firefighters were able to accomplish 5 acres today. Smoke may still be visible through the night especially around highway 243.
May 10, 2023 - Evening Update – Burn operations have concluded successfully on the Grass Valley prescribed burn. Firefighters were able to accomplish 30 acres today. Smoke may still be visible through the night.
May 10, 2023 - The San Bernardino National Forest (BDF) Mountain Top District will be conducting a prescribed burn today in the Grass Valley area, there are approximately 100 acres planned. This will be occurring around Grass Valley Road, Club House Drive, Fairway Drive, Brentwood Drive, and Sonoma Drive.. This will occur from 9:00am to 5:00pm as weather and environmental conditions allow. Residents and visitors will see flames and smoke visible throughout the day and evening.
May 8, 2023 - The San Bernardino National Forest (BDF) San Jacinto District will be conducting a prescribed burn today in the Cranston Reforestation area around Highway 243 between Keenwild and Saunders Meadow Rd. The Burn consists of 30-40 piles on both sides of the highway. This will occur from 9:00am to 5:00pm as weather and environmental conditions allow. Residents and visitors will see flames and smoke visible throughout the day and evening. Firefighters will be monitoring the area until all piles are extinguished.
May 7, 2023 - Evening Update – Burn operations have concluded successfully on the Cranston Restoration prescribed burn. Firefighters were able to accomplish 20 acres today.
