Texas A&M Forest Service personnel were requested by Fort Hood officials to the Crittenberg Complex Fire in Coryell County on March 27, 2022 during warm, dry and windy conditions. Critically dry grass and shrub vegetation supported the growth of the fire with some spotting of flammable materials ahead of the flaming front.
Today, resources continued patrolling all containment lines and heavy equipment continued construction of containment lines on the installation. The containment has increased to 85% and all Federal and State resources have been released from the incident. Pending any significant change in fire activity, this will be the last update for the Crittenberg Complex.
