Today will be the last Daily Update for the Oak Fire, unless significant fire activity occurs.
CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 5 will transition the fire back to CAL FIRE Merced Mariposa Unit today at 10:30A.M.Overnight, firefighters worked to reinforce containment lines, as well as mitigate any hot spots. Today, suppression repair will continue throughout the fire area to improve damage occurred during suppression of the fire. Firefighters will continue to mop up hot spots and do tactical patrols throughout the fire area, along with extinguish hot spots within the fire perimeter.
