Summary: Fire behavior was active overnight but resulted in minimal fire growth. As some fires are contained in other areas of the state and nation, those resources are being redirected with many arriving on the Haypress Fire. Yesterday a Mobile Retardant Base was utilized out of Trinity Center and nearly 10,000 gallons of retardant were dropped between the fire and Highway 3 outside of Coffee Creek, reducing the fire’s advance. In Sugar Pine Creek, the fire is currently moving slowly with control lines in place. On Parker Spot, the fire continues to burn primarily toward the southeast edge of the Haypress Fire. The active fire is currently about 9 miles from Trinity Center. On the Summer Fire, aerial ignitions have prevented the fire from crossing Cecilville Road which serves as a northern control line. The Cronan Fire remains in patrol status.   Safety: Be aware of fire equipment traffic on highways this holiday weekend.
