The Six Rivers Lightning Complex Fire is currently 13,111 acres with 0% containment. Warmer, drier weather is expected in the coming days which could lead to an increase in fire activity when the inversion layer lifts. Firefighters will continue to work around the clock in effort to gain containment.

Six Rivers Lightning Complex - Morning Update8/9/2022 Six Rivers National Forest Crews working the fires last night were able to hold a majority of the work accomplished by the day shift. High overnight humidity helped slow any progress. The incident will enter into unified command with Cal Fire at 7:00 am today. Additionally, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol and CalFire are also in unified command with the Forest Service.  
General: As of 8/8/2022 6:00 pm, the SRF Lightning Complex had grown to 6775.5 acres and was zero percent contained. The incident will enter into unified command with Cal Fire at 7:00 am tomorrow. Additionally, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, and California Highway Patrol are also in unified command.
