The Jellison Fire was reported the evening of July 12. Fire is burning in steep, hard-to-access terrain on the east end of the Little Belt Mountains approximately 1.5 miles north of Jellison Place Campground. As of July 18, the fire is in patrol status and 100% contained.

Significant Events | 7/13 fire personnel are having success slowing the forward spread using full suppression tactics and going direct on the fire to remove heavy timber around it. Fire received .2 inches of moisture during yesterday afternoon's storm! 7/14, crew is attempting to build line around fire with goal of having it 100% lined by the end of the day. 7/15, crew successfully lined the fire perimeter yesterday and are continuing to secure line, 7/16 - crews work for 100% containment by end of shift. As of 7/18, fire is in patrol status. No more updates will be issued. |
