Cause: Under Investigation
Mop-up operations and patrolling containment lines continued. Residual heat and hot spots remained present and continue to crews busy. Texas A&M Forest Service and Lone Star Forestry dozers worked the fire throughout the day pushing burning snags interior. The Virginia engine strike team moped up along the fire's edge and helped secure a section of line that did not burn clean on July 18th.
The engine strike team will continue to staff the Nelson Creek Fire tomorrow. Resources will resume mop-up operations and patrolling containment lines.
