Smoke Discussion
With continued fire activity, increased smoke production over the next several shifts is expected. Today the Oakridge community will see Very Unhealthy air quality until midday then improving into the evening as favorable winds and good mixing provide clean air. From La Pine along Highway 97 to Bend, good air quality is expected throughout the day. All communities along the McKenzie Highway between Blue River and Leaburg will see thicker early morning smoke but clearing by early afternoon. Eugene residents will see Good air quality throughout the day and outdoor activities will not be hampered by area wildfires. Lowell can expect Moderate conditions early today but clear skies are expected for the remainder of the day.
