Incident Command: Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry Type 3 Incident Management Team, Shawn Turner I.C.
Estimated Size:  109,262 acres           Containment:: 87%             Personnel: 87
Current Status: Yesterday, crews were actively involved with mop up and patrolling existing perimeter control lines. Fire activity inside the control lines was increased due to the higher temperatures of being under a thermal belt.  Unburned pockets of fuels were actively burning and there was some single tree torching.  Winds were favorable throughout the day and the smoke and ash were blowing back in towards the burned area. An aerial drone was used to fly along the uncontained lines with Infra-red imagery, but did not find any new spots outside of the control lines
Planned Actions: Crews will continue to strengthen existing control lines, grid for spot fires and mop up along the control lines. The fire perimeter will be mopped-up for a minimum distance of 100’ into the black burned-out area.   No additional burn-out operations are planned as a Heat Advisory continues to be in effect for the area. Crew personnel will be available to provided initial attack for other new fire starts in the area
