Current Situation: Individuals planning for hunting season are encouraged to use the Colorado Hunting Atlas to find alternatives to access points impacted by the Morgan Creek Fire area closure. Though fire activity has been minimal for the past week, warm, dry weather is expected in the coming days. Crews remain in the area to improve line construction, patrol, and monitor for new activity. Updates will be released as new information is available. The fire information line will remain in operation from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.   Closures: A forest closure order remains in effect for areas near the Morgan Creek Fire. Some form of long-term area closure may remain in place for the duration of the fire, likely into the fall/winter. Forest Service Road 400 (Seedhouse Road), and other Forest Service roads and trails in the closure area remain closed to entry for public and firefighter safety. County Road 64 between County Road 129 and Forest Service Road 400 is limited to emergency and local traffic only.
