The Sierra National Forest (SNF) remains under the threat of unprecedented and dangerous fire conditions with the continued burning of the now 331,966 acre Creek Fire and 1185 acre Bullfrog Fire, a combination of extreme conditions, significant wind events, dry conditions, and firefighting resources that are stretched to the limit.
Due to these conditions, the Sierra National Forest is announcing the following temporary closure to provide for continued public safety. Forest Closure Order No. 05-15-00-20-15 will go into effect October 03, 2020 and will be re-evaluated daily as conditions change through November 01, 2020.
