Fire activity was minimal overnight as firefighters continue to mop up hot spots and secure the fire perimeter. Structure defense remains a priority for values at risk. Every day the fire stays within its current perimeter, the threat to the adjacent communities continues to diminish. High pressure over Southern California will result in a warming trend into the middle of the week.
All Evacuation Orders, Evacuation Warnings and Road Closures have been lifted as of 12:00 noon, Friday, September 11th, 2020.
The County of San Diego has opened a Local Assistance Center to help residents affected by the Valley Fire. It is located at the Rancho San Diego Library, 11555 Via Rancho San Diego, El Cajon, CA 92019.
All Temporary Evacuation Points have been closed.

On Monday, September 14th, 2020 at 7:00 AM, the fire will transition from California Interagency Incident Management Team 15 and CAL FIRE back to a Cleveland National Forest Type 3 Team.
