Containment on the fire remains at 98%, however the remaining fire line along the northern perimeter has not been active. Access to this area still remains very difficult due to the steep terrain and lack of roads. The Suppression Repair Group continued the task of repairing burned areas by clearing ash accumulations in erosion zones, and performing road repair near Anderson Peak. Repairs to fencing continued today at the Merle Ranch today to help contain the remaining livestock. There have been a few small fires unrelated to the Dolan fire, but near the fire area which have all been quickly contained. Any person who discovers a fire should immediately report it to local authorities.
High temperatures today will vary from the upper 70s to the low 80s degrees across the inland valleys with rising humidity layers. The marine layer will continue to develop in the evenings and will reach further inland as the weekend approaches. This will raise humidity levels during the day, and allow for good recoveries above 2000 feet. A dry cold front will pass through the area saturday night into sunday morning bringing moderate winds from the north gusting to 18 mph over the ridges. A warming weather pattern should bring temperatures back near 100 degrees in the valleys, and lower humidities throughout the region.
