BIA Wildland Fire and Aviation Management Takes Over Wood Springs 2 Fire
As Southwest Area Incident Management Team 5 demobilized the base camp at Window Rock High School on Friday, BIA Wildland Fire and Aviation Management took over operations on the Wood Springs 2 Fire. Under an assigned incident commander with BWFAM, two equipment bosses, four engines, a water tender, and a bulldozer continued to monitor and secure the outer perimeter of the fire, after Team 5 units had mostly completed checks to eliminate any burning areas near the interior of the fire. All area closures and road closures remain in effect at this time.
