Resources: 135 total including 2 Type 1 crews; 3 Type 2 crews; 4 engines, and 1 dozer
Minimal Activity Observed on Central Fire The Central Fire is 69% contained. Yesterday, crews concentrated their actions around the few remaining heat sources found by the infrared flight in the southwest and northwest sections of the fire. Minimal fire activity is expected today, primarily within the fire’s perimeter. Actions today will focus on extinguishing heat near containment lines and suppression repair. Ground and aerial resources will take suppression actions as needed. The Type 1 Incident Management team will be transitioning command of the Central Fire to the Arizona Central West Zone Type 3 Team tomorrow at 6 a.m. Hot, dry weather is expected to continue throughout the area. Southwest winds are expected to pick up in the afternoon up to 25 mph.
