Dry Hollow Fire Update – December 4

Dry Hollow Fire Wildfire
Announcements – 12/4/2019

Things remain the same on the Dry Hollow Fire today. Firefighters are monitoring the fire and there are still a few interior smokes. Strong wind gusts have continued to come through the area. If the wind calms down Thursday, they may begin snagging the North Fork Mountain Trail, cutting down dead or hazard trees close to or near the trail.

Burned areas on the National Forest are closed to the public due to the potential for safety hazards such as falling trees and rolling debris. Strong wind gusts are expected to continue over the next few days and fire-weakened trees could fall.  Visitors to nearby National Forest lands, especially hunters, should exercise caution while in the area as fire crews are working and hazards are still present.
