Museum Fire July 24 Mid-day update

Museum Fire Wildfire
News – 7/24/2019

Potential for flooding meeting tonight

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., July 24, 2019 – As we start to see showers come through the area over the Museum Fire, the incident management team is aware of the potential for flooding in the future and is taking action to help prevent the impacts where possible. Even with the showers we have received over the fire to date, the fire is not out yet.

City, County and State officials are leading the efforts in any flood situation. Tonight, July 24, 2019, at 6 pm, the Coconino County and City of Flagstaff are holding a meeting at the Coconino High School (2801 North Izabel Street, Flagstaff, AZ) on the potential of future flooding.

The Coconino County EOC website coconino.az.gov/978/Floods has information on floods that may be helpful for local residents. Their phone number is (928) 213-2990. The City of Flagstaff has flood warning and awareness information on their website as well as monsoon flooding preparedness. Their website information is at flagstaff.az.gov/4113/Flood-Warning-and-Awareness and flagstaff.az.gov/3992/MonsoonFlooding-Preparedness. Their phone number is (928) 213-2000.
