Woodbury Fire Public Safety Closure Order
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a), the following acts are prohibited on all National Forest System lands as, described in this Order, (the “Restricted Area”), and as depicted on the attached map, hereby incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A, all within the Tonto National Forest, within the state of Arizona.
1. Going into or being upon the Restricted Area. 36 C.F.R. § 261.53(e).
Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from the provisions of this Order:
Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of any organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
Persons engaged in a business, trade, or occupation in the Restricted Area, who are authorized to be in the Restricted Area by the U.S. Forest Service, the state of Arizona, or the counties of Gila, Maricopa or Pinal, and their employees, agents, contractors and subcontractors.
Residents using roads in the Restricted Area to the extent necessary to access their private property.
All National Forest System lands, roads and trails within the boundary starting at National Forest System Road (NFSR) 357 and the Tonto National Forest (NF) boundary, then following north and west along the Tonto NF boundary for approximately 8 miles to the Superstition Wilderness Boundary, then following west and north for approximately 13 miles adjacent to state of Arizona Trust Lands to the Apache Junction Town Limits, then following north for approximately 4 miles to Arizona State Highway 88, then following northeast along Highway 88 for approximately 6 miles to the Acacia Day Use Area, then following east along the centerline of the Salt River chain of lakes to Lake Roosevelt Dam, then following east to National Forest System Trail (NFST) 120, then following south to NFSR 1080, then following west to NFSR 49, then following south to the Superstition Wilderness Boundary, then following southeast continuing along the Superstition Wilderness Boundary for approximately 26 miles to the intersection of NFSR 342, then following south along NFSR 342 to Highway 60, then following west on Highway 60 for approximately 2

miles to the Superior Town Limits, then following north, then west, following the Town Limits for approximately 7 miles to Highway 60, then following west for approximately 7 miles to the Tonto NF boundary, then following north, then west back to the starting point at the intersection of NFSR 357 and the Tonto NF boundary.
The purpose of this Order is to protect National Forest visitor health and safety and firefighter health and safety, by eliminating the potential for members of the general public to enter into the Woodbury Fire planning area while wildland fire suppression and emergency operations are taking place.
This Order will be in effect at 8:00 p.m. on June 14, 2019, and shall remain in effect until August 31, 2019 or until rescinded, whichever occurs first.
A map identifying the Restricted Area is attached and made part of this Order as Exhibit A.
Any violation of this prohibition is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals or $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, or both. (see 16 U.S.C. 551, 18 U.S.C. 3571(b)(6), 18 U.S.C. 3581(b)(7)).

This Order supersedes any previous Order prohibiting the same acts covered by this Order.
