Blackline operations on the Big Mountain Prescribed Burn were successfully completed yesterday, April 2.
Fire staff planned to continue burning today, April 3, but the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather conditions through this afternoon due to strong winds, low relative humidity and low fuel moisture. Fire staff are monitoring the weather and will begin burning when conditions are favorable.
Always check www.weather.gov for predicted weather conditions in your area before any outdoor burning.
Weather permitting, fire staff plan to begin the Big Mountain Prescribed Burn Thursday April 4.
