The Ferguson Fire remained extremely active and firefighters worked aggressively to contain a pair of spot fires north of the Merced River on the Stanislaus National Forest near Miller Gulch and Ned Gulch. Aircraft and hand crews attacked the spots which are estimated at 600 acres total. This new growth prompted a Mandatory Evacuation Order from the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office for Rancheria Government Housing, Old El Portal, Yosemite View Lodge and Foresta.

Crews continued to make progress building line along the Southwest and Western edges of the fire near Jerseydale and Mariposa Pines.
