Vegetation: Grass, Brush, heavy dead and down fuel Size: 250 acres
Fire Activity: Yesterday, the Chediski Fire received some rainfall however it only lasted for several minutes. Fire personnel continued their indirect suppression efforts completing firing operations along the O20 Road west to Boundary Road 8 then North to Lost Tank Canyon. The fire is currently at 250 acres and most of the growth is due to firing operations to secure the fire perimeter.
Today, fire personnel will work on strengthening containment lines. Firing operations will continue along the North flank of the fire along Lost Tank Canyon. Firing operations are anticipated to take several more days to secure the fire perimeter.
Closure/Fire Restrictions: Stage 2 Fire Restrictions and Forest Closures remain in place on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
