Fire
This morning the fire size was reported at 36,664 acres, 25% contained. Today most fire activity will be seen along the west side of the fire with active to very active fire behavior expected.

Smoke
Smoke will likely be visible as a column this afternoon. W to SW winds will push smoke towards Springer, Raton and Trinidad. Nighttime smoke will likely settle into communities closer to the fire including Cimarron, Philmont, Ute Park and Springer. Tomorrow morning may see USG to Unhealthy levels of smoke in these communities.
