Percent containment: 25%

Fire activity: Saturday, crews continued to wrestle high winds for control of the fire, not only succeeding in holding the lines but achieving 25% containment.
Today crews are focused on strengthening the lines where the fire is most active, and mopping up along containment lines. Lower wind speeds and cooler temperatures are providing relief and facilitating the crews in their efforts.
Weather: Breezy, dry conditions continue today and are expected through the coming week with highs hovering around 70 degrees.
Safety: Visitors are reminded to drive with caution in the fire area and to be alert for fire traffic. Forest Road 195 was already affected by a public safety closure and was closed to the public prior to the start of the Woods Fire. No additional closures are in effect at this time.
Fire restrictions: The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests are currently in Stage 2 Fire Restrictions to reduce human-caused fires and protect public safety.
