34 Complex Fire Update
Tuesday, April 24, 2018
Good Morning. This is the final “Daily Update” from the Southern Area Gold Team on the 34 Complex Fire. We appreciate being part of the unified command with the Oklahoma Forestry Services and the Woodward and Moreland Fire Departments. Thank you to all the cooperators who were part of this incident. And thank you to all the folks in Woodward and surrounding communities for allowing us to be part of your lives these past 10 days. By the end of today, the 34 Complex Fire will be declared 100% contained. All the resources assigned to our Team will have been released and either be travelling to other assignments or back to their home units. The Southern Area Gold Team will be leaving tomorrow morning for Oklahoma City to meet with the Oklahoma Forestry Services and formally transfer management of the 34 Complex Fire back to them. NOTE: 100% containment means that the firelines are secured and all heat sources have been moped up within some distance of the perimeter of the fire.
