Residence of Carpinteria and Summerland will see smoke and fire activity from the Thomas Incident now through the morning, and the fire will seem closer than it actually is during the night. The current Evacuation Warning for the Foothills of Carpinteria and Summerland will remain in place. Fire crews are currently on the fire line and actively engaged in firefighting operations. If you feel the need to evacuate under the voluntary evacuations for any reason, please do so. Be prepared to evacuate if conditions change, for more information on how to prepare go to http://www.readyforwildfire.org/ . The Thomas Incident will advise of any significant condition changes as they occur, otherwise the next update will be at 10am December 10, 2017 from the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Services.
