Creek Fire spreading rapidly

ARCADIA, Calif. – The Creek Fire is growing rapidly north of San Fernando on the Angeles National Forest (ANF). It is estimated at 11,000 acres with approximately 200 Forest Service personnel assigned. The fire was reported at 3:44 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Numerous structures are threatened. Firefighting efforts are being hampered by winds gusting from 40 to 70 mph. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The incident is being managed under Unified Command with the U.S. Forest Service, Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City. The CAL FIRE Team 5 Incident Management Team has been ordered for the Creek Fire.
