The main objectives include: safety of the firefighters and public, protection of private property, including the historic Fenn Ranger Station and other identified values at risk, maintaining positive relationships with the public and cooperators and lastly the consideration of key resources in the area such as cultural, Wild and Scenic Rivers, Inventoried Roadless and Wilderness and high value fisheries.

The EA IMT is setting up their Command Post in Kooskia near the Fire Hall and airport. They began the day with a morning briefing at the Johnson Bar campground to introduce the team to current resources on the fire and present today’s operations.
