Incident: East Fork Fire Wildfire
As of noon Monday, September 11, 2017 the Hill County Sheriff’s Office is lifting all evacuation orders in Hill County. Hwy 234, Sucker Creek Road and Taylor Road are all open to public access. All side roads in Beaver Creek Park are still closed and Beaver Creek Park remains closed to all recreation.
Cabin owners are allowed access to their recreational cabins from 7am to 7pm to check on, clean and maintain their cabins. The power is still off in some areas and the local power companies are working on restoring service in the area.
The Hill County Sheriff's office will continue to have increased patrols in the area, and the public is to use caution in the affected area, and to stay alert for spot fires. There is still smoldering debris in the containment area.
The public needs to stay aware of emergency vehicles and heavy equipment in the area. For questions please contact the East Fork Command post at 406-395-8413 or call the Hill County Sheriffs office at 406-265-2512.
