Cooler temperatures, higher humidity and occasional rainstorms subdued fire behavior over the past two days. The favorable conditions have allowed for greater containment progress. So far, the fire is 74% contained. The unsecured line along the eastern perimeter will be completed in the next day or two. The south portion of the fire remains uncontained. As fuels are sparse on that side and the fire has not grown there in over a week, it may be left unsecured. The fire is currently 11,090 acres in size and is not likely to grow beyond that point. However, there is still widespread heat throughout many areas of the fire and once temperatures warm up, interior pockets of fuel will burn, producing more smoke.

As containment increases, some resources will be demobilizing from the fire in the next 2-3 days. The remaining crews will be mopping up, patrolling the line and chipping the remnants from thinning operations. Road closures remain in place in some areas.
