NATURE OF STORY: Update on Evacuation Advisory for McKenzie Valley

DETAILS:

The evacuation advisory for zones 8 and 9 on the below map have been downgraded to a Level 2 evacuation, “Be Set” to evacuate. Below are the current evacuation advisories in place.

Remain at Level 3, “Go”, evacuate now
Zone 10 remains at a level 3, “Go”, evacuate now. This includes the area south of Horse Creek Rd. on the attached map.

Level 2, “Be Set” to evacuate for zones 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 on attached map. Residents and visitors in the McKenzie Valley between milepost 49-53 on Hwy 126 east remain at a Level 2, “Be Set” evacuation notice.

Those in zones 8 and 9 have been downgraded to a Level 2, “be set” to evacuate. This includes Hwy 126 East of milepost 53 to the county line and north of Horse Creek Road.

Level 1 Evacuation Advisory Remains for zones 3 and 4
A Level 1, “Be Ready” advisory, is still in place for residents and visitors in zones 3 and 4 on the attached map. This includes taking appropriate steps to be ready to evacuate due to fire danger, including packing a “go kit” with emergency supplies, important documents, prescription medications, clothing, and any other items you might need should you be away from home for several days.

Zones 1 and 2 are not under an evacuation advisory at this time.
