Level 1 (Be Ready) Evacuation Notice for Hwy 126 from MP 45 East to MP 16 near Frissel Boat Launch
Residents, campers, and others along the Oregon Route 126 corridor from Milepost 45 on the McKenzie Highway (the intersection with Forest Road 19, also known as Aufderheide Drive) east to Milepost 16 on the Clear Lake Cutoff (near Frissel Boat Launch) are being asked to BE READY (Level 1) to evacuate. The includes the communities of Rainbow, McKenzie Bridge, and Belknap Springs, as well as residents along East King Drive and North Bank Road, and all surrounding areas. This is the lowest level of evacuation notice to advise people in the area that they may be asked to evacuate if fire behavior continues to worsen. Please be aware of the danger that exists in your area and continue to monitor emergency services website and local media outlets for information. For those in the above listed areas, this is the time for preparation and precautionary movement of persons with special needs, mobile property and large animals.
For all areas affected by these notices, the quickest route to safety is west of Oregon Route 126 towards Springfield.
