Smoke Forecast

Several fires burning on the Willamette National Forest continute to impact neighboring communities. Smoke in the area has limited fire behavior over the last few days and there was limited fire growth yesterday. These conditions are expected to continue today. Tomorrow transport winds will shift to a west wind and will increase fire activity.

The Whitewater fire continues to produce smoke and haze impacting Breitenbush and Detroit. Smoke from the Rebel and Horse Creek Complex Fires continues to impact the communities of Oakridge and Mckenzie Bridge. The Milli Fire and other fires in southwest Oregon will also continue to impact these areas as well. West winds will return to the fire area today and will aid in clearing out smoke throughout the day.
