Location: CRUCIFIXION CREEK Approximately 10 miles west of Heart Butte, in the Badger-Two Medicine area; STRAWBERRY—Eastern edge of fire is approximately ½ mile east of Swift Dam and extends south to Sheep Creek on the state land, 17 miles west of Dupuyer; SCALP—Approximately 7 miles west of Teton Pass Ski Area.

Fire Management: Today’s planned actions: Crucifixion Creek-Ground crews are still working out of the Badger Cabin, assessing and clearing the trails and dismantling the structure protection. This crew will likely be engaged in these activities through the rest of the week. Strawberry-Ground crews are working on rehabilitating hand and dozer line, putting any visible smokes out, and falling hazardous snags. Scalp-Structure protection is still in place on Wrong Creek cabin. Fire personnel near Gates Park will be assessing the condition of the trails and gathering up equipment for later removal. Fire management will take a recon flight today if conditions allow. We transitioned to a Type 4 Incident Management Team today at 0700. We still have trail and area closures in place on each of these fires but they have been reduced in size. There are still some areas that need to be assessed for hazards before they can be opened. Please refer to the BMWC map attached or visit Inciweb at the address shown below.

Crucifixion Creek Fire Update (11,008 Acres): No new activity to report.

Weather: An exiting cold front may linger a few rain and mountain snow showers today...mainly to southern and eastern Rocky Mountain district zones. Temperatures will be slightly cooler today with some breezy winds at times also possible. A large trough will keep the chances for scattered showers into Wednesday...with similar temperatures...and continued breezy winds are also possible.
