Fire Closure Area Reduced on the Umpqua National Forest

Closure reduced, trail and campground open.

Roseburg, OR - September 12, 2017, 1:00 p.m. Forest Service officials released a revised set of closures on the Umpqua National Forest, effective September 11, 2017.

Of note are the reduced area closure for Cougar Bluffs, the Fall Creek Trail and the Williams Creek Trail are now open. The Bogus Creek, Island and Apple Creek campground are also open. Forest Road 29 on the Tiller Ranger District is now open.

All closed roads, areas, recreation sites, trails, river segments, and highway pull-outs can be found on Order 06-15-00-17-381 at

Visitors are encouraged to review additional closures adjacent to the Umpqua National Forest that can be found on the websites for the Willamette, Rogue River-Siskiyou, Deschutes, and Fremont-Winema national forests.
