News – 9/18/2017

Smoke: The first of a series of fronts hit Oregon Sunday afternoon and evening. Significant rain and W/ SW wind will continue to impact the Horse Complex, Rebel Fire, and Whitewater Complex fires through Wednesday. Less rain is expected Thursday. Air quality has improved and good conditions are expected through the end of the week. Expect minimal smoke from smoldering logs to drain into valleys.


Fire: Fire activity is expected to be minimal on all fires in the forecast area. Large logs will continue to smolder. Horse Creek Complex is 32,567 acres, Rebel Fire is 8,653 acres, Nash Fire is 6,738 and Whitewater Complex is 14,416 acres.
