Current Fire Situation: Firefighters with the Shasta-Trinity National Forest are closely monitoring and responding to ten fires caused lightning storms passing over northern California the evening of September 12, 2017.

The US Forest Service will conduct aerial reconnaissance flights the morning of September 13, 2017 to determine potential fire growth and appropriate response activity of any new developing fires. These reconnaissance flights are part of our normal operating plan after lightning storms.
