Evacuations lifted

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office has lifted Evacuation Levels for the Bear Butte Fire.

The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest has jurisdiction over the area closure and the closure of the forest roads (FS Road 73, FS Road 43, FS Road 7325, FS Road 5185, and Elkhorn Crest Trail #1611). These closures remain in place.

Northeast Oregon is experiencing extreme fire danger. Please use caution when recreating.
