Orleans Complex News Release

Smoke Forecast Update for 9/9/17

Incident: Orleans Complex Wildfire
Released: 9/9/2017

Smoke: Yesterday was the first day since mid-August that none of the monitoring stations in the area reached "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" or above!

Today: Due to minimal fire growth and decent smoke dispersion in the afternoon, expect generally "Moderate" air quality in the area, except the areas closest to the fires, i.e. Upper Klamath (Seiad Valley and Happy Camp) and Salmon River (Sawyers Bar).

Tomorrow: Northeast wind is expected. This is likely to bring clean air to the Scott Valley, but may bring some smoke to the Lower Klamath area between Orleans and Willow Creek.

Fire: Orleans Complex: https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5430/ Eclipse Complex: https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5511/ Salmon/August Complex: https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5501/

Other: Enjoy the weekend.
