Orleans Complex News Release

Orleans Complex Air Quality Aug. 15, 2017

Incident: Orleans Complex Wildfire
Released: 8/15/2017

Several fires in the region are expected to keep smoke impacts in the Northern Klamath River drainage and Scott Valley in the moderate to USG (Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups) range today. Happy Camp and Seiad Valley will likely see USG by the afternoon and possibly periods of unhealthy conditions as Northerly winds drift smoke from fires to the North and West into these valleys. Scott Valley communities could see conditions worsen to the USG range later today due to smoke from fires East of Etna. On the Southern portion of the Klamath River drainage, including Hoopa and Willow Creek, moderate smoke conditions are expected to remain.
