Similar smoke and air quality conditions for the Klamath River drainage are expected today as yesterday. Winds will remain northeasterly in the morning before becoming variable in the afternoon with the potential for outflow winds and precipitation associated with thunderstorms. Communities down river of the northwest California fires may continue to see conditions that are unhealthy for sensitive groups in the morning and into the day. Happy Camp and Seiad Valley may continue to see moderate conditions overall with potential for conditions that are unhealthy for sensitive groups in the afternoon. Regional fires continue to contribute to degraded air quality.
