Air Quality/Smoke Update for August 1, 2017

Incident: Orleans Complex Wildfire
Released: 8/1/2017

Outlook for NW California Fires Smoke: NW Cal fires continue creating overall moderate conditions with USG (unhealthy for sensitive groups) downriver from the Orleans Complex and Clear fires due to low to moderate fire behavior. Levels in the Scott Valley and upper Klamath River canyon including Happy Camp and Seiad Valley are overall moderate conditions with periods of good air quality. Timing of the smoke and intensity will depend on the activity of these fires. Fire: Orlns Cmpx:https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5430/ Clear Fire:https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5433/ Island Fire:https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5304/ Other: A monitor was set up at Weitchpec and we are still expecting a monitor set up in Orleans and Hoopa in the next few days. Happy camp is expected to be running in the next couple of day.
