Orleans Complex News Release

Air Quality Update for July 31, 2017

Incident: Orleans Complex Wildfire
Released: 8/1/2017

Smoke: NW Cal fires continue creating overall moderate conditions, largely downriver from our current monitors. Still, levels in the Scott Valley and upper Klamath River canyon including Happy Camp and Seiad Valley could occasionally rise into the USG (unhealthy for sensitive groups) range. Conditions still remain hotter and drier with record-breaking heat expected today and through the week which will increase fire activity. Timing of the smoke will likely remain the same over the next couple days, but intensity will depend on the activity of these other fires.
