Smoke
The Whitewater fire continues to produce smokeand haze impacting Breitenbush and Detroit. Smoke fromthe Jones, Rebel and Horse Creek Complex fires continuesto impact the communities of Oakridge and MckenzieBridge. Other fires in Oregon and Northern California willalso continue to greatly impact these areas as well. Smokeis expected to hang in canyons throughout the day andconcentrating in the morning and at night. An east windmay moderate smoke impacts in the forecast area.

Fire

Several fires burning on the Willamette NationalForest continue to impact neighboring communities. Fireactivity is expected to be active to very active today fromthe higher temperatures and low relative humidity. A RedFlag Warning is in place for today through Tuesdayafternoon for unstable conditions.

Other

Smoke from Potato Hill Fire could impact Highway20 visibility at night and early morning. Limited visibilityalong Hwy 126 can be expected. Separate smoke forecastwill be issued for communities east of the Cascade Crest.Whitewater Fire Information -https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5420/
