Area Closures: The Idaho Panhandle have issued a temporary closure on National Forest System Trails #312, #315, and #317. The Colville National Forests have also issued temporary closures on National Forest System Trails #506, #511, #512, #526, and #535. These trails access remote and rugged areas near the fire in the Salmo Priest Wilderness and could potentially create a public health and safety issue if accessed. The Colville National Forest has issued a temporary closure on Forest Service Road #2220280 from the junction of the 2220 Sullivan Creek Road to its terminus with the National Forest Service Trail #535. Forest Service Road #2220 (Sullivan Creek Road) from the junction of Forest Service Road #2212 to the Salmo Pass Trailhead. Road #2220270 (Salmo Mountain Road) from the intersection of the 2220 Sullivan Creek Road to Salmo Mountain. These closures are in place for public health and safety due to fire activity from the North Fork Hughes Fire, and are expected to continue until the fire situation allows safe access and passage.
