Smoke Forecast for July 16, 2017

Incident: Island Fire Wildfire
Released: 7/16/2017

Smoke: Overall good air quality continues outside the immediate vicinity of the fire.Winds from the west and low fire activity led to improved air quality down the Salmon River Canyon yesterday. Today winds shift to the north with potential return to moderate to unhealthyrangefor the Salmon River drainage in the mid-morning. Other areas should expect good to moderate air quality.

Fire: Light fire activity occurred again yesterday. Light winds today will likely result in fire activity similar to yesterday.

Other: Monitors are now deployed in Yreka, Callahan, Etna, SawyersBar, FortJones, Quartz Valley, and HappyCamp.
